What are essential oils?
Essential oils come from plants, in fact, they are the aromatic properties of a plant. They are steam distilled from the roots, stems, leaves, needles, flowers or cold pressed from the rind of a citrus fruit. The essential oil is a fatty sack that sits on the plant and it is what the plant uses to ward of predators or illness. This is essentially the ‘immune system’ of the plant.

3 Ways to Use Essential Oil
Aromatically
- Use a diffuser
- Add 1 drop to the palm of your hands, rub hands together, cup hands over nose and inhale
- Apply to collar bone with a carrier oil so the eo naturally diffuses off the heat of your body
Topically
- Apply to feet, back of ears, chest, neck, pulse points or directly where needed
- Reaches bloodstream within 30 seconds when applied to soles of feet
- Dilute with carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil) to minimise skin sensitivity, increase surface area and reduce evaporation rates of the volatile essential oils
Internally
- Add to water, cooking or baking
- Add 1 drop directly under tongue
- Add drops to a vege capsule and ingest
